Well I think the answer to this question is a simple yes. When you take into account the past 6 seasons, top to bottom the Denver Nuggets have the best team now that they've had in the Carmelo Anthony era. Just look at this stat, if I were to tell you last year that in a first round playoff game against the Hornets Chris Paul had, 21-11 with 5 assists. While Carmelo Anthony went an abysmal 4 for 12 with 13 pts, would you see a Nuggets win? Yeah me neither, and even the most die hard Nuggets fan would have to agree. Granted Melo helped in other areas, grabbing 7 boards to go along with 2 assists and 1 block. But in years past this would not of mattered, not at all, that's why you have to give the props to the same people that get the blame for a lot of recent Nugget struggles, Rex Chapman and Mark Warkentien. The Nuggets VP of player personnel and VP of basketball operations. The people responsible for the Chauncey Billups trade and the free agent pick ups, such as Renaldo Balkman and Chris Anderson (The Birdman). I as well as many others could see the Billups trade as being promising, but who could have seen such success. Birdman, I mean I thought filler minutes at best I never thought he would've provided this much production, he's a flat out beast on the court. Then you add in the contributions from Balkman, the overall health of the team, and the fact that there's a general out there now, I think there's no doubt this team is better than years past, and no question they're are for real.

Continue reading "Are these Denver Nuggets for real"
