Washington State was getting all they wanted and more. Winthrop went into the half tied and had out-shot the Cougars across the board.
Then the Cougars attacked in the second half on a 42-11 run.
Washington State simply overwhelmed Winthrop in the second half. This should never have been as close as it was in the 1st half and the second proved that point pretty clearly.
After a tie at half time the Cougars ran up a 31 point lead in the second half. That's pretty much an ass whipping where I come from.
